Thomas Bateman Hood’s design of a new home in Decatur Georgia was selected as the U.S. Green Building Council 2017 Outstanding Single-Family Project, an international competition. It achieved LEED Platinum status. Hood designed the house for longtime friend and colleague Carl Seville of SK Collaborative, a company specializing in green building.
The home resides in a popular historic neighborhood, and Hood assisted with getting approvals with the local historic review commitees. He was involved in dealing with neighbors as well as speaking on Carl and Kate Seville’s behalf at hearings.
